Grants and Funding

Do you want to improve sport in your community? Do you have a great idea to get people moving? Or maybe you are a talented athlete looking for support?

Whether you’re setting up a new team, need to upgrade your facilities or want to get onto the coaching ladder, we might be able to help.

We receive National Lottery funding that we distribute to community clubs and volunteers. Our grants team can support you with information and advice, while there are also representatives in each of the local authorities who can provide advice on grant applications.

As well as community sport, we also provide grant funding to support talented Welsh athletes.

Other grants might be available on a one-off basis, such as our recent Place for Sport funding.

Find out more on the grants available through Sport Wales.

You can also find out more on community based grants on our Club Solutions resource.
