Jacob made his debut for the Great Britain Hockey team at the age of just 21, having impressed for Wales at the EuroHockey Championships a few months earlier. Now, he is set to make his Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020. 

Jacob has gone on to represent Wales at the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast and now plays his hockey for Beerschot in Belgium.

Jacob’s sporting career may have taken a different path having been a part of Cardiff City’s football academy, having played since the age of 7. Then, one day when the school’s hockey team were shy of a few players, Jacob picked up a hockey stick and has never looked back since.
