Proud of his roots, Daniel Jervis will become the first Olympian to hail from Resolven – a small village in Neath. He openly admits that the Olympics is an obsession, and it always has been. Some of his favourite and most inspirational Olympic memories are watching Rebecca Adlington’s Gold medal-winning performance from Bejing 2008 and being wowed by the Opening Ceremony from London 2012.

Daniel’s obsession with the Olympics was subdued for Rio 2016 following the disappointment of missing out on a place at Rio 2016. After having to wait another year longer due to the postponement, he will finally get to make his Olympic debut with another 5 years’ experience under his belt.

What club did Daniel start swimming at?

Nexus Valleys Swimming Club and Neath Swimming Club both helped Daniel in his early pool days before he moved on to the City of Swansea Aquatics.
