Plas Menai

If it’s outdoor adventure you’re after, Plas Menai has got it all. It is The National Outdoor Centre for Wales and is situated on the banks of the Menai Strait in North Wales.

Its mission is to unleash the power of adventure. And it does exactly that.

It offers action-packed activity days, weekend adventure activity clubs, and youth adventure holidays camps for children aged 8-17 years old. It opens its doors to schools, groups and thrill-seeking corporate teambuilders.

Owned and operated by Sport Wales, the centre’s staff are highly qualified and are the go-to people in the outdoor industry for advice and know-how. In fact, they instruct the instructors.

As a recognised RYA and BCU training centre, Plas Menai offers a range of technical courses and instructor training in dinghy sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, cruising and kayaking. Their flagship training is the 16 week and 22-week Multi-Watersports Instructor course, perfect for anyone wanting to break into the outdoor industry.

Water rescue training courses are available all year round, suitable for organisations that have employees working in or around the water.

Private tuition, bespoke courses and activity packages can be created, tailored to you. Just get in touch!
