Thank you to everyone that joined us for one or more of the day's sessions. For those of you that are tuning in at a later date, we hope you take away some learning that makes a difference to you.

Inclusive Leadership with Amanda Bennett, Fair Play Ltd

In this session Amanda revisits the language and meaning of equality, diversity and inclusion. We build an understanding of how inequality and exclusion manifest themselves in organisations and explore inclusive leadership traits and behaviours. 

Amanda is passionate about helping people and organisations grow and develop, and, with a focus on governance, diversity and inclusion, she     established FairPlay in 2013. She has worked with a range of organisations including the International  Paralympic Committee, Welsh Rugby Union and the Premier League. She is an internationally recognised expert and  inspirational speaker on women in sport, in particular, women’s leadership.

Next Thursday, Amanda will be running the same session for another group of participants. We will release the live recording of this session following Thursday 20th along with Amanda’s Slide deck.

In this session, Sue shared some key reflection techniques and introduced how they can enhance your work performance as well as increasing your chances of achieving key life-goals. Sue introduced techniques that will stand you in good stead throughout your career. The techniques shared can also be applied as you attend the Learning Series events during May, to maximise your learning from our excellent speakers! 

Sue is an Executive Coach and Development Consultant with broad experience of both organisational and personal leadership development.  She has a particular interest in resilient leadership, supporting leaders to raise their self-awareness, build on their strengths and develop strategies to thrive and deliver against ever increasing organisation demands.  She facilitates teams to become the best they can be, improving their effectiveness by facing their key issues and opportunities

Time Out with Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson

In this session, Sport Wales caught up with Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson. Tanni spoke about her lockdown experiences. She spoke about the small changes and the significant shifts that are needed to make a difference to our emergence from the pandemic. At the end of the session, there was an opportunity for the audience to ask Tanni questions. 

Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson has competed at 5 Paralympic Games, won 11 golds, 3 silver and 1 bronze. She has won the London Wheelchair Marathon 6 times and held over 30 world records throughout her career! Tanni was appointed to the House of Lords as a Crossbench Peer in 2010 and as a working peer Tanni uses her experience and knowledge during debates in the House. In addition Tanni is, Chair of UK Active, President of Sports Leaders UK, President of National Council for Voluntary Organisations and a Non-Executive Member of the BBC Board.
