Planning for Long-Term Success - The Goodwash Story

WHAT: FILMED DISCUSSION

TIME: 51 MINS

Former international hockey and touch rugby player Mandy Powell is co-founder of The Goodwash Company based in Barry, south Wales. Aiming to change the world one wash at a time, all sales and fundraising profits from soaps and other bathing products go towards making a real and lasting improvement to animal and human lives.

Mandy will be sharing the Goodwash story so far with us. She will talk about how her and Kelly Davies took the brand from an initial idea back in 2017, to today selling products across the world and creating lasting partnerships with communities, customers and business leaders along the way. Goodwash has also recently opened its first retail store in Barry (August 2020).

The session will cover the following topics:

• The importance of having a clear business mission from day one

• An understanding of the overall marketing strategy (how it was developed and how marketing efforts have evolved as the company’s popularity increased)

• An insight into Goodwash’s target audiences and the strategy for communicating and engaging effectively with them

• An insight into how Goodwash plans its engagement and promotion programme (including planning time and methods of choice)
