Working Hours – 37 hours (consideration will be given to job sharing / reduced hours in line with our flexible working policy)
Location – Office-based in Sport Wales National Centre, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff
Who we are
Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales. We are the main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Government and are responsible for distributing National Lottery funds. We aim to not only improve the level of sports participation at grassroots level but also provide our aspiring athletes with the support required to compete successfully on the world stage.

You will require no prior knowledge of Sport Wales funding or systems as training and support will be provided as part of a full induction. An applicant’s approach to behaviours and skills will be the most critical element of the recruitment process.
Who you’ll work with
You will work with colleagues in the investment team to directly support community clubs and organisations in accessing our community investment opportunities, liaising with them on a day-to-day basis.
What you’ll need
The post-holder will need prior experience of working in a customer-service role, strong relationship building skills and the ability to respond and adapt positively to a variety of situations and people to meet changing priorities.
You will need to be organised and committed to working as part of a team.
The most important attribute is the enthusiasm in approach to work with the public to support positive outcomes through strong customer focus skills.

Job Purpose

This is an exciting role at the forefront of that work, supporting the administration of the application process.
The post-holder should have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to deliver a service which promotes good customer service.

Main Duties
Deliver exemplary customer service to the public by giving advice and guiding applicants through the first stages of the application process, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Managing all telephone and initial email enquiries received by the Investment Team, through the mediums of Welsh and English.
Oversee the Community Investment Expression of Interest process, providing applicants with access to online application forms where they have evidenced that they are eligible for Sport Wales funding.
To update databases, such as the Online Investments Management System, and maintain records to ensure the integrity of our investment data.
Fulfil responsibilities which contribute to delivering an exemplary service for Sport Wales in respect of our statutory duties, including the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales), Equality, Information Security, Risk Management, Safeguarding, Financial Regulation and Health, Safety & Environment.
Work flexibly, performing any other duties as required, where relevant to the post and appropriate to the grade.
