  4. Taking Part in Sport and Exercise in Wales – the Guidance

UPDATED ON 9th AUGUST 2021

From Saturday 7 August Wales will move to Alert Level 0, meaning further benefits for sport and physical activity.

In Alert Level 0 there are no limits on the number of people that can father for organised indoor activities, stadia, events and organised outdoor activities. There is also no legal requirement for social distancing. All sports and exercise are permitted, however all clubs should follow sport specific guidelines from their National Governing Body.

All leisure and fitness facilities remain open and should be following appropriate risk assessment guidelines.

You can read the latest guidance and updates on the Welsh government website as well as their Sport and recreation guidance

We will update our guidance as soon as information is available.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must follow official guidance from your governing body to resume organised activities.

If the Covid-19 pandemic has put your community club, organisation or group at financial risk, funding support is available through our Be Active Wales Fund.
