With bundles of experience which includes three Commonwealth Games, 169 caps for Wales and captaining her country, 34-year-old Leah Wilkinson will make her Olympic debut when she represents Team GB in Tokyo this summer.

There’ll be a very familiar face alongside Leah in the team as she will be joined by her partner and fellow Welsh player, Sarah Jones. 

What club did Leah start hockey at?

Leah started playing hockey for Belper Hockey Club in Derbyshire where she lived with her family, who hail from Swansea.

One thing you didn’t know about Leah Wilkinson

When not playing hockey, Leah is a history teacher and Head of Year 10 at Ewell Castle School. She will be hoping to make some history of her own and inspire her pupils by emulating the Rio 2016 Gold medal success of Team GB’s hockey team in Japan.
