Indoor Facilities

  • Purpose-built gymnastics training facility for Welsh Gymnastics
  • Air-conditioned boxing centre with full size Olympic ring and training ring for Welsh elite and developing boxers
  • Purpose-built air-conditioned dojo; home to Welsh Judo and Welsh Wrestling Associations. With a total mat area of 27m x 14m, it has two judo competition mats, a wrestling mat and a fully sprung floor. It also has a climbing wall, ropes and a spectator area
  • 10 metre indoor, six lane shooting range, used as training venues by the Welsh Target Shooting Federation.
Gym Equipment at Sport Wales
  • Three sports halls which can host a wide range of sports
  • Extremely versatile main sports hall with fully sprung floor which regularly hosts international competitions, training camps, coach education, qualifications and individual athlete training. It accommodates ten badminton courts and it has retractable seating for 900 spectators.
  • Four squash courts, two of which are glass backed exhibition courts that allow wheelchair access and has seating for 186 spectators.
  • A cardiovascular fitness gym and free weights gym

Outdoor Facilities

  • National Hockey Centre with artificial floodlit pitch and 275 spectator seats, used previously by GB Hockey and for international events. Home of Hockey Wales and also used for football and lacrosse
  • Purpose-built, 50 metre outdoor shooting facility with six lanes, used as training venues by the Welsh Target Shooting Federation
  • Grass football and rugby pitch with covered dug out area and physiotherapy room, used by FAW Trust and WRU
  • Multi-sport, all weather playing area that can host five-a-side football, netball and tennis.
