Salary - Grade 7 - £34,947.96 - £37,437.13 (pay award pending)

Working Hours – 37 hours per week (consideration will be given to job sharing / reduced hours in line with our flexible working policy)

WHO WE ARE

Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales.  We are the main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Government and are responsible for distributing National Lottery funds. We aim to not only improve the level of sports participation at grassroots level but also provide our aspiring athletes with the support required to compete successfully on the world stage.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

This role is a crucial component of Sport Wales’ ability to strategically deliver it’s HR & OD function. 

We are looking for an experienced individual who will be joining a small HR / OD Team contributing to all aspects of HR and OD. You will work closely with our supportive team to deliver a positive, solution focused service across the organisation.  You will work across all areas of the business, guiding and coaching managers and providing robust advice. You will also help to develop a culture of collaboration and customer focus within the wider directorate.

We strive for continual progression and keep our approaches, policies and procedures under constant review.

You will be able to develop and contribute to projects and initiatives focused on developing us as a learning organisation, with diverse employees who are engaged and feel valued. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work.  People who enjoy working within a team and getting involved in every aspect of delivery.  We place a strong emphasis on communication, collaboration, sharing and learning together as a team. You will have experience of providing organisations with HR and OD support in an advisory capacity and will be looking for your next role to give you a breadth of experience within a progressive organisation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, although not essential. If you have the presence and personality to work in a high performing team as well as the passion and drive to succeed, then we would love to hear from you.
