We want the right people with the right skills in the right jobs. That means we need to invest in our employees.
On your very first day of work, you will embark on a tailored induction programme and will be offered all the essential training to get you started. Joining Sport Wales means joining a culture of learning and continuous professional development. Job specific training, regular lunchtime workshops, coaching and mentoring, improving Welsh language skills, long term study opportunities are all part of being on our team.
All of this has helped us to achieve Investors in People accreditation.
Diversity & Inclusiveness
We are an organisation that promotes equality. We are striving to create a diverse and fully inclusive culture where staff feel valued. We know there is more to do which is why we welcome applications from all sections of the community. Our strategic equality plan and further information can be found here
Our shortlisting process is blind. This means the hiring manager cannot see your name, gender or any of your other personal data. We do this to ensure that we are recruiting in a fair and transparent way.
We are committed to the principles of being a Disability Confident employer and will offer interviews to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy. However, in certain recruitment situations it may not be practical or appropriate to interview all disabled people. For example, if we get a particularly high volume of applications from disabled people, we will invite to interview the candidates who best meet the minimum criteria for the job.
